Wheelbase

Wheelbase is the distance in inches from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel.

What you do:

Choose a wheelbase that gives you the steering control you want.

Factors to consider:

1. Wheelbase range is 84 - 156 inches.

2. The shorter the wheelbase of your car, the more your car will react to turns of the steering wheel.

3. The shorter the wheelbase of your car, the more weight will transfer from the front to the rear wheels when you launch from the line. This increases traction.

4. Wheelbase affects weight. Every inch of wheelbase translates into 10 pounds.
